The report shows that alternative medicine plays a very important aspects in the delivery of health care.

Alternative medicine complements conventional medicine in providing the best option in the delivery of the best health care. What conventional medicine does is assisted by the other or the other acts alone to control the disease. There were cases considered terminal and hopeless as far as conventional medicine is concerned ended in full recovery with alternative treatment. Progress evaluation while on treatment were assessed clinically and by investigative procedures.

The diseases treated were cancer (breast, colon, ovarian, uterine), liver cirrhosis, blood dyscrasia, rheumatism and others. The mode of intake were oral intake of Ganoderma lucidum extract, lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, vitamin C, Vitamin E, multivitamins, essential fatty acids..

New discoveries in Medicine through molecular biology uncovered that the human body can be empowered to prevent and heal diseases on its own through the above agents.


This study aims to illustrate that besides conventional treatment a physician is encouraged to consider alternative treatment in managing the patients. It also points out that a physician evaluates medical cases specifically the terminal ones, abandoned for any hope of recovery, to undergo such treatment.

Its specific objectives include:

1. To show the alleviation of symptoms and control of the progression of colon, breast, uterine, and ovarian cancer using major antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and Ganoderma lucidum.

2. With the same mode of treatment, to show the efficacy of Hepatitis B infection, liver cirrhosis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and rheumatoid arthritis.

3. Recommendation for its use in clinical practice of medicine.
